A second man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Twerton has been released without charge. Police arrested two men, aged 24 and 29, in December over what the force described as a serious assault. Officers were called to Newton Road on December 15 after reports of an attack which took place between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. The busy road was closed until the evening with investigations ongoing. Two teenagers have been charged with causing danger to road users after items were dropped from motorway overbridges onto passing vehicles. In one incident last summer a lorry driver was hit by a stone slab that had crashed through his windscreen. A 27-year-old has been fined after being caught drink-driving in Bath.Dominik Sykala, of Cotswold Road in Oldfield Park, drove while over the limit and without a licence or insurance earlier in March. He was stopped on Grand Parade in the city centre and found to have 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the limit.
