A Bath man who stole £3,500 in cash from a city centre shop has avoided jail.Kirren Mayo, aged 25, made off with the large quantity of cash from McColl's in Argyle Street last November.Having initially failed to attend a court hearing, a warrant was issued and Mayo was brought into Bath Magistrates' Court the following day where he pleaded guilty.He was sentenced on Monday (April 24) to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months.Read more: Two drug dealers jailed after they were caught...
