A man charged in connection with the murder of Bath teenager Melanie Road has been remanded in custody.Christopher John Hampton, 63, of Staple Hill Road in Fishponds, spoke only to confirm his name and address when he appeared at Bath Magistrates Court on Monday morning.The married father-of-three wore a grey t-shirt and trousers for the brief court appearance.
